The new Geometry Boolean modeling task is used to create closed boundaries by uniting, subtracting or intersecting two sets of individual or groups of closed profile boundaries.

Boolean can be used on CAD and CAM geometry, meaning that it is of benefit when creating or modifying any SmartCAM model elements: part profiles, toolpaths, stock boundaries, machining containment boundaries, tooling geometry and fixture profiles.

The Profile modeling task interface has been redesigned for improved ease of use and productivity by providing a single, tabbed control panel with tabs for profile start, line and arc element creation functions replacing the three individual panels used in previous versions.

Profile modeling functionality has also been improved. Now, all elements of the current profile remain Pending, and the profile tool erase function can be used to back-up and edit the entire profile geometry.
