Q. Why is there a processing fee for replacement license keys?

We do NOT charge a processing fee to active maintenance (SMA) customers who request replacement license keys, because they are supporting their SmartCAM licenses and are investing in SmartCAM's future.

For customers who choose not to purchase SMA contracts for their SmartCAM licenses, we charge an administrative fee for processing the replacement keys. The fee is intended only to offset our costs of administering the program. SmartCAMcnc does NOT make a profit on the administration of replacement license keys.

When a customer purchases a SMA agreement, we will gladly refund the fees of any replacement keys processed in the previous 30 days.
