SmartCAMcnc Names Douglas Leopold Director of Software Development

July 22, 2004 - Eugene Oregon - SmartCAMcnc, exclusive developers of SmartCAM, announced today that Douglas Leopold has been named Director of Software Development for the company.

Leopold will oversee all development of the company's suite of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software as the company reintroduces SmartCAM to the manufacturing industry.

Leopold joins SmartCAMcnc from UGS where he served as Senior Software Engineer for the past eight years on the Generative Machining and Team Center Manufacturing projects.

Prior to SDRC/EDS/UGS, Leopold spent four years with Cummins Diesel Engine as a Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer for the industrial applications division or the electronic products group.
