A new Utility - Options dialog box allows you to modify many commonly changed configuration settings directly from within the SmartCAM application, without the need to edit external files. The options are grouped into Categories; such as General Options, Performance, Presentation, Color, and Data Translation.

You can control a number of features or preferences from the Options window. Some of the configuring options include the dynamic view mouse button settings, ShowPath speed adjustments, list view width and location, UI colors and SmartCAM color table and color table assignments, and a host of other settings.

In addition to the many previously existing configuration settings, several new options are also now available.

Tool Tips - Two new settings allow you to adjust the delay before a tool tip is shown, and the duration it is shown (while the mouse is still over the item).

Free Coordinate Cursor - The default Free Coordinate Cursor can be changed from the large crosshair cursor to the Windows Arrow cursor.

Relative Toolbar Positioning - The floating icon bar and group toolbar can now be configured to be positioned relative to the main window, allowing them to follow the main window when moved to a new location.

UI Width Adjustment - The width of SmartCAM panels and dialog boxes can be increased to eliminate text collisions due to changes of Font type and size.

The SmartCAM user interface has been updated to provide improved usability and a "cleaner" appearance.

Default Font - The default SmartCAM font has been changed from the original "MS SERIF", to the more current "Arial."

Menu Highlighting - The main menu bar now highlights the menu items as the cursor moves over them. When a menu is opened by clicking on it the menu items are also highlighted as the cursor moves down the list, and pull-right menus are automatically displayed.

Icon Bar Highlighting - The icon bar has been changed to no longer display simulated 3D buttons, and instead, similar to the main menu, the icons highlighted as the cursor moves over them.

Pull-right Toolbox Menus - Toolbox items on the menu have been replaced with pull-right menus, which allow the desired command to be selected directly.

New menu highlighting and Pull-right menu direct access to all toolbox commands.

Icon Bar and Insert Bar Pop-up Menus - New right mouse button pop-up menus are available on the Icon Bar and Insert Bar which allow their position or visibility to be changed instantly. An additional pop-up menu on the main menu bar allows the visibility of the Icon Bar, Insert Bar, and Group Toolbar to be toggled on or off.
