Welcome to our SmartCAM® v2026 release highlight pages.

We are excited to announce the release of v2026. In this release we continue to improve and enhance the CNC programming professional's tool of choice for developing tailored CNC programs. We have focused on user interface, display improvements and automations that will help continue to improve the programmer's efficiency and accuracy in the CNC program development process.

Our goal remains unchanged - to continuously deliver technology changes that add more capability and productivity to SmartCAM; assisted with updates to the user interface and everyday usability improvements. We always strive to maintain The SmartCAM Difference.

We are thrilled to offer the following enhancements that have been created for the Version 2026 release:

  • Home Position Live Tool Support: Improvements to live tools as well as radial and axial tool orientation settings.
  • Improvements to our Group functions: Additions to the Named Group Manager and group macro commands and enhancements.
  • Mask and Hide options added to the Planner - We have added Mask and Hide Step geometry from within the Job Operations Planner.
  • CTK and MCL Automation Improvements: Includes improvements to the Regenerative CTK/MCL, macro updates and CTK macro path.
  • Rotation support now included in Define Plane - The rotation support in Define Plane has been expanded to be more useful.
  • File Menu Most Recently Used (MRU) Preview - The File menu MRU now displays a preview of listed PM5 files as you hover over each one.

Regenerative CTK/MCL Automation - Milling and FreeForm only - Several SmartCAM functions have been updated to support regeneration..

CTK Automation Macro Path - Enhanced location checking for PCB panel's associated macro.
