Get Error 10 when using Surface Machining Processes

There was an issue in the installation files for FreeForm Machining, Advanced Milling, Advanced Turning, Milling Viewer, and Turning Viewer. The installation files were updated to resolve this issue on 27March2025.

When running Surface Machining operations, if you receive an error: Error 10 'Access or Permissions Problem with SmartCAMcnc.ini File Path = <>' and your application install was downloaded prior to 27March2025, the following should resolve the issue.

Download the v2025 SP1 installation file from the SmartCAMcnc website again. Then run the installation. You do not need to uninstall and it will not affect your licensing (you do not need to request a key again). The installation will know that it was previously installed and will run in Maintenance Mode.

From the Maintenance Mode menu, pick the 'Repair' option. Your SmartCAM application files will be updated and the issue should be resolved.
